COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – It’s a reunion that’s been a year in the making.
Earlier this week, we introduced you to a Caledonia couple who found a picture in their yard days after the tornado blew through Louisville.
Today, the couple has met the owners of the picture in an emotional reunion.

It was about a week after the tornado last year when Janet and Jerry Guest found this picture in their garden.

For the past year, the Guests’ have kept the picture, hoping to find the rightful owners.

On Friday, the couple met Felisha Mitchell, her nephew Aubrey and his mother Jalesa Bowen.

“I didn’t know who it was, it was the first names but no last names so I didn’t know how to contact anybody, but I put him in my kitchen where I have a glass door a top cabinet and I’ve talked to him a lot,” said Janet Guest.

Aubrey’s mother had given the picture to his aunt, Felisha, on Easter 2011 when he was just 23-months-old.

He is now 6-years-old.

Felisha’s Louisville home was swept away by the tornado and now the picture is the only memento she has left from the home.

“It means a lot to me because this is my little Aubrey and it’s something that came back to me from my home that I lost, which I lost everything but it’s still precious to me,” said Felisha Mitchell.

Now, thew families share a special bond that will last a lifetime.

“It is just wonderful. You know, I thought he was so beautiful, handsome, I am so sorry honey. You are still so handsome,” added Guest.

Ironically, Aubrey’s birthday is on April 28th, the anniversary of the tornado.
