Video: Area Armory Taking A Shot At Firearms Market

FULTON, Miss. (WCBI) – A Northeast Mississippi company is looking to make a name for itself in the firearms industry.

Earlier this year, Deep South Precision, also known as DSP Armory, opened in Fulton. The company was started by two engineers who are also avid hunters.

DSP makes AR performance rifles and is hoping to work with local retailers to get their product to the public.

One of the company’s specialties is the ability to customize some features of their rifles.

“Gives it more of a personal touch and we’re adding a few features like textures on the front of the mag well and doing some things with trigger guards to make it different, as far as the need, AR s are out there quite a bit but there has not been a lot of rifles set up for hunting and what we’re trying to do is build a hunting rifle, it’s called the deep woods line.”

DSP Armory currently employs 10 people and can produce up to 250 guns a month.
