STARKVILLE, Miss. – (WCBI) It is known as the American Dream, but for first time home buyers, the process can be intimidating. That is where Jerome and Debbie Nettles with ERA Town and Campus Realty step in to help. They’ve recently renovated their office space to mimic a café. When you sit down with a cup of coffee, this is the first question you’ll be asked.
“Well, Mrs. Home buyer. Have you met with your lender? That is the first step in real estate,” says Debbie Nettles.

Jerome adds its not only important to have a lender, but choose one you feel comfortable dealing with.

“They need to have the confidence that the lender is going back them up, and close the deal on time.”

Time is of the essence. Once you are approved for a loan and choose the right place to call home, the mother son duo is using a paper-less approach to expedite the process.”

“It speeds up paper work, to and from and in between. We are able to get offers in. We can literally submit an offer from the property,” says Jerome.

“If we have a client on campus, and they need to run errands on their lunch break, but they have to sign an offer, or a counter, it is not a problem.
We just docu-sign it, email it to them, and its back to us in two or three minutes,” adds Debbie.

But now matter how far technology advances, networking and interpersonal communication is still key in the real estate business.

“People do business with people they know. So, that is the root of our business. You’ve got to be a people pleaser, you’ve got to look out for your clients and their best interest. But to utilize technology, and to do that quickly so that our client can literally receive an email on their cell phones, take it out and sign a document, and never see us face to face..you don’t want to lose that personal touch,” says Jerome.

With agents across the Golden Triangle, the team at Town and Campus realty are here to turn your American dream into reality.
