COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. came out on Saturday to show support for victims of domestic violence.
A fundraiser was held at the Columbus Walmart to benefit Safe Haven.
Safe Haven supports women and children who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
The shelter provides temporary housing, counseling and legal advice.
Household items and monetary donations were collected.
Safe Haven serves ten counties throughout Northeast Mississippi.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is a predominantly African American sorority founded in 1913.
