Video: Four Hospitalized in Ambulance Crash

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Mississippi state troopers are investigating an ambulance crash that sent four people to the hospital Thursday night.

It happened around 6 p.m. northbound on Highway 45 in Lowndes County.

Master Sgt. Chris Turnipseed tells WCBI a white pickup truck was attempting to turn left onto Artesia Road, when an ambulance rear-ended the truck.

The ambulance was taking an 88-year-old woman from a Noxubee County nursing home to a Columbus hospital.

Turnipseed doesn’t believe its emergency lights were on.

The three people in the ambulance, plus the driver of the pickup truck, were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
