HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) -The baseball facilities at the Houston parks are about to get an upgrade

Aldermen are allocating as much as $22,000.00 back to the Parks and Recreation Department for a covered batting cage pavilion.

The money was moved out of the budget category last year as part of a normal transfer. But the move, which came around the same time some $5,200.00 in concessions and tournament fees were reported stolen, has caused a bit of controversy.

Aldermen hope the fund transfer and batting cage project will end that. Meanwhile, the criminal investigation into the stolen money continues.
