NEW HOPE, Miss. (WCBI) – A local organization is bringing an important message into schools.
“Stand up, Speak Out” is the theme for the Junior Auxilary of Columbus’ anti-bullying program.

The group visits local sixth grade classes in Columbus, New Hope and Caledonia presenting their program.

The program is designed to help students to become empowered and better prepared to meet the challenges of bullying and make responsible decisions.

“I love that this program teaches these children how to effectively deal with a bully and how to deal with the situation and how to report it and what rights they have,” said teacher and JA member, Lindsay Price.
The program is presented using PowerPoint presentations, hands on activities and role playing.
