Video: Lowndes Co. Steel Plant Reportedly for Sale

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) —  A major steel plant in Lowndes County is up for sale.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Severstal is hoping to sell its two U.S. plants in Michigan and Lowndes County.

The Journal says a business based in Brazil is interested.

About 650 people work at the Columbus site.
