Video: New Albany Leaders Look to Improve Park

NEW ALBANY, Miss. – (WCBI) One city in our area is looking at ways to double money provided by Mississippi to improve a park.

Legislators agreed to give New Albany $175,000 to improve the park by the River. Now, city officials will explore various grants to hopefully get another 175 thousand dollars.

Officials say they would use the 300 thousand dollars to build an amphitheater, along with restrooms on park property.

City officials could give no timeline on the grant process.
