Video: Noxubee County ‘Goes Blue’ to Prevent Child Abuse
MACON, Miss. (WCBI) — The Noxubee County Courthouse lawn was a sea of blue this afternoon. Dozens of the county’s youngest residents turned out to help prevent Child Abuse. April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, and today’s “Wear Blue” event was organized by the Noxubee County DHS to increase awareness of the problem of Child Abuse, as well as the services available to the community.
There was face painting for the kids. The sheriff’s department was on hand to help parents with ID Kits for children, and there was music for everyone to enjoy.
