OKOLONA, Miss. (WCBI)-In the wake of the Okolona Assistant Police Chief being let go, another officer has been given a seven day suspension without pay. Okolona Police officer Joey Miller is expected to return after a week. According to Okolona Mayor Louise Cole, in performing his duty Miller’s action were unbecoming that of an officer. Apparently there were several allegations of misconduct on the part of the officer. The specifics of Miller’s actions were not spelled out. The Okolona Mayor and Board of Aldermen voted 4 to 1 Tuesday night to fire Assistant Chief Romona Robertson.
