Video: State Supreme Court Green Lights Oxford Annexation

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — The state Supreme Court okays Oxford’s annexation of 160 acres near where the new Baptist Memorial Hospital is being built.

The deal was approved by the Lafayette County Chancery Clerk last year but a challenge of the annexation was filed, claiming the group asking to be included in the city did not meet the standards needed.

The Supreme Court ruled today the annexation was in order and could proceed.
