‘Team Tupelo’ Departs For All America City Competition

TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – Members of ‘Team Tupelo’ are headed to Denver for the ‘ All America City’ Competition.

This morning, about 30 members  of the ‘Team Tupelo’ Delegation boarded a bus for Nashville.  From there, they are flying to the Mile High City.

Tupelo is one of 16 cities invited to take part in the competition, sponsored by the National Municipal League.

The team has a ten minute presentation and the practicing isn’t over yet.

“Now, we have three more hours of practice once we get to Denver we will go through it on the actual stage, we will do walk throughs, we signed up for the extra practice session out there and we are going to be as ready as we can be and we are going to give it one hundred percent and hopefully come back with a fifth victory for Tupelo,” said Mayor Jason Shelton.

Team Tupelo will make its presentation Saturday afternoon.  Winners will be announced Sunday evening.
