Video: Volunteers Participate in Projects Around the Golden Triangle

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – The intense summer heat is no match for local volunteers serving their community.

“The Week Here” Committee will organize groups throughout the summer to lend a helping hand around the golden triangle.

Boys and Girls Clubs from Starkville and Columbus, along with other organizations are among the list of groups volunteering.

This summer, they will help elderly home owners by mowing their lawns and cleaning up their yards.

Committee members will also deliver flowers donated by the Starkville CO-OP to homes of elderly residents next week.
