Video: Woman Accused of Killing Boyfriend Returned to Tupelo

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) -The woman accused of killing her boyfriend, then fleeing to Louisiana is the Lee County jail.

45 year-old Leah Bishop’s bond was set a one million dollars this afternoon.

Bishop is accused of killing 65 year old Jessie Traylor .

Investigators say Bishop called 911 in Jones County on Wednesday evening. Laurel police found a letter at a Veteran’s museum.

In the letter, Bishop allegedly confessed to killing Traylor and leaving his body at his Rollingwood Drive home.

Detectives found Traylor in his bedroom dead from a gunshot.

Bishop was arrested yesterday Winnsboro, Louisiana for driving with a suspended license.

Tupelo Police tracked her to Louisiana through Traylor’s credit card.

“I think the million dollar bond is appropriate because of the flight risk factor as well as the heinous of this crime we do feel like she is a danger to society.”

Bishop waived extradition and was returned to Tupelo Friday.
