Webster County, Miss. (WCBI) — The Webster County Sheriff’s Department is warning residents to be cautious about who is coming to your front door to fix your electricity.

The Sheriff’s Department says a blonde women with two Hispanic men traveling in a white pickup truck claimed to be with the Natchez Trace Electric Power association and burglarized a home.

$200 worth of money and jewelry has been stolen.

A total of four houses have been hit in the county.

Sheriff Tim Mitchell is asking residents for any information and advises them to be careful about who they open their door for.

“Keep your door locked, call your electric company, and see if that’s a legit person that’s come to your house. If you have any suspicions at all, just keep your door locked, call the law enforcement and let us get out and get them checked out before they leave,” said Mitchell.

No arrests have been made.

If you have any information about any possible suspects, please call your local law enforcement.
