Woman Killed in Winston Co. Wreck

WINSTON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Mississippi state troopers are investigating a wreck that killed a Louisville woman Monday afternoon.

It happened in Winston County on Highway 25 at the Poplar Flat Road intersection, just after 3 p.m.

Troopers say a Jeep Grand Cherokee was heading south on Highway 25, when it collided with a Cadillac CTS going west through the intersection.

A passenger in the Cadillac – 80-year-old Dorothy Depriest – was killed.

Her husband – 81-year-old Milliard Depriest – was driving and was airlifted to a Jackson hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Jeep – 18-year-old Miranda Price – was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

MHP is investigating the crash.
