Women Plead Guilty to Ripping Off Taxpayers
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Two Golden Triangle women plead guilty to ripping off taxpayers and a third gets a trial date.
59-year-old Sara Deloach of Columbus and 39-year-old Ethelene Pridgeon each face up to 10 years in prison and 250 thousand in fines for claiming Social Security Survivor Benefits they weren’t entitled to.
Both pleaded guilty this week in U.S. District Court.
Deloach could have to repay almost 14 thousand dollars and Pridgeon almost 54 thousand.
Both will be sentenced later.
Meanwhile, 39-year-old Joyce Manning of Columbus faces a March 4th 2013 trial date on charges she took almost 26 thousand dollars.
All three were indicted in April.
