Video: Mississippi State Handles Northwestern State

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI Sports) – Mississippi State got back on track Saturday, beating Northwestern State 62-13 at Davis Wade Stadium.

The Bulldogs (2-1) led 34-6 at halftime against the Demons (0-3) and many of their young players saw time on the field in the second half, including redshirt freshmen quarterbacks Nick Fitzgerald and Elijah Staley, who both threw touchdown passes.

Senior quarterback Dak Prescott was 10-of-11 for 227 yards through the air with two touchdowns and rushed for 54 yards.

Two players from northeast Mississippi picked up their first-career touchdowns during the game: sophomore and Starkville High School product Gabe Myles scored twice and freshman and West Point native Aeris Williams had a rushing touchdown.
