OXFORD, Miss. – (WCBI) Oxford’s enhanced parking regulations are paying off for the city.

Since enforcing the stricter parking policies six weeks ago, enforcement officers have written 860 tickets.Of those, 60 are repeat offenders.

If you violate the parking rules of the city’s downtown Square once, you will receive a warning.

Fines range from $10-$50 after that.

Certain violations or failure to pay could could land a boot on your tire.

It will cost $75 to have it removed.

Standard Parking Corp., is in charge of enforcing the updated parking laws.
