LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A three week investigation led to the raid of a spice laboratory Thursday afternoon in Lowndes County.
Sheriff’s deputies along with Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and a narcotics agent from Columbus Police Force raided a home on MikeParra Road where the illegal substance was being manufactured in a garage. Deputies say, they confiscated several pounds of the drug known as spice.
The subjects arrested were obtaining a type of incense and chemical that were free to purchase but then combining the two creating the illegal substance for sale. At least three subjects were home at the time of the raid and two were taken into custody.
No word yet on the what charges will be filed and exactly how much spice was confiscated.
