LAMAR COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI)-A Lamar County Alabama family of four is homeless after fire tears through their home this morning. The fire broke out just after ten at this home on County road 27 in Millport. According to firemen on the scene, Michael Cunningham was outside doing yard work when he noticed smoke coming from his home. Millport firefighter Clayton Aldridge says the cause of the fire is electrical and that it started in the kitchen area of the home and then quickly spread into the walls and ceiling of the structure. Fire departments from Millport, Vernon, Liberty, Malloy and Kennedy all responded to help fight the blaze. No one was injured in the fire.
