Video: ICC’s Hatcher Named MACJC Player Of The Week In Women’s Hoops

FULTON, MS (ICC) – Itawamba Community College sophomore guard Marlee Hatcher has been named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) player of the week for women’s basketball.

Hatcher shot 46 percent from the floor (19 of 41), 57 percent from three (6 of 11), and 60 percent from the free throw line (6 of 10) to score 59 points while grabbing 13 rebounds, dishing out 8 assists, and totaling 9 steals on the week.

The former Pontotoc High School standout scored 17 points and 7 rebounds in the Lady Indians’ 73-61 road win over Holmes Community College to open division play.

She followed that up with a 30-point performance in ICC’s 100-60 win over Wallace State (AL) Community College-Selma after going 9 of 9 from three, 10 of 13 from the floor, and 1 for 1 from the free throw line.

Hatcher closed out her impressive week by scoring 12 points and grabbing 5 steals in a 65-61 loss to Motlow State (TN) Community College.

ICC will return to the hardwood on Tuesday, January 10 at Motlow State.
