[bitsontherun HxsNpb6a]TISHOMINGO CO., Miss. – (WCBI) One man’s effort to have a special election for alcohol sales in Tishomingo County finally pays off for residents.

It took Charles “Tubby ” Aldridge three years to collect the 2,500 signatures needed to hold the election.

After surpassing that number, county supervisors have set a May 21st election date.

If voters approve, liquor and wine will be allowed to be sold within the county.
