WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI)- If you’re looking for something exciting to do this Thursday, you should check out a new independent movie filmed right here in the golden triangle.
The new movie, “Kane” will debut March 7th at 7p.m. at the Ritz in Downtown West Point.
The premiere event will feature the first screening of “Kane,” several short films by aspiring local youth in West Point, and previews for other films recently produced in Mississippi.
“Most people don’t know how much is going on in Mississippi and the premiere will have trailers from all kinds of movies being shot and made here in West Point and also across the State and all the cast will be there so you can meet and talk to all those involved and see just how much is going on in your back yard and you don’t even know about it,” said “Kane” Director Michael Williams.
Proceeds from the premiere will go to sending “Kane” to independent film festivals all across the country.
Tickets are $7, and can be purchased at the door or by calling 662-275-3285.
