AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) — Downtown Amory was filled with the smell of chili Saturday as a dozen teams from across Monroe County cooked their best stuff for the second annual Amory Main Street Chilifest.
The teams conjured up 33 different varieties of chili — that was up from 13 last year — for visitors and guests to try. Teams also competed for a variety of cash prizes and trophies, including the People’s Choice and Spirit awards.
Pumpkin painting, the Chili Dog, costume contest and Kid Zone gave children plenty to do.
