Caledonia Middle School Science Fair

CALEDONIA, Miss. (WCBI) – Some big industry spent Wednesday morning at Caledonia Middle School to help foster an interest in science.

Close to 200 6th through 8th grade students had science exhibits judged in hopes of advancing to the MSU Regional Science Fair in February of 2014. 23 volunteers from various industries such as: Tronox, Severstall, Eurocopter, and Weyerhauser just to name a few showed up for support. There was every exhibit from chemistry to physics represented.

According to Jason Minga with Tronox, “It’s really neat to see young minds problem solving and going after and trying to takle some problems that maybe they think about at home and put some science methods to solving them.”
