STARKVILLE, Miss. – (WCBI)It’s the moment many women have dreamed of since they were little girls, shopping for the perfect wedding dress.
When it comes to the latest bridal fashions Christine Tibbett knows what blushing brides are looking for in 2013. From whimsical to traditional, Christine’s Couture has her Starkville boutique stocked with gowns, accessories and shoes. I stopped by for a sneak peak of what you can expect to see on the runway at this year’s bridal showcase.
Lace, a traditional dress fixture, is in high demand this year. Christine reports that many are turning to higher neck lines and removable shaws. Many brides are also paying tribute to the 1950’s, with simple classic ball gowns. Meanwhile, studding and beadwork is still popular, especially in mermaid style dresses.
For me it was a day to play dress up, but for Christine Tibbett of Christine’s Couture in Starkville, this is just one more day in the life.
