Dorsey Group Raises Awareness About MS

DORSEY, Miss. (WCBI) — Some Dorsey residents are using their sweet tooth to raise awareness about multiple sclerosis.

They held a cookie sale Saturday to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Donors received drinks, and a bag of cookies if they gave at least $3 to the cause.

“It’s a stand against MS, and it is to help raise money to promote the awareness of MS, and to get more research and hopefully to come up with a cure,” said organizer Natalie Blackmon.

Blackmon says MS is common. About 250,000 people suffer from it in the United States.
