Video: Lowndes Co. Deputies Make Arrest in Saturday Stabbing

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Lowndes County deputies have made an arrest in a stabbing early Saturday morning.

Investigators say they’ve arrested Courtney Gillespie, of Macon, and are charging her with aggravated assault.

They say Gillespie and another women got into an argument, then started cutting each other at a home on McGee Road, south of Artesia, Saturday morning.

One woman had to have surgery.

Gillespie is being held at the Lowndes County jail.

Deputies are still investigating, and tell WCBI they’re not sure if the other woman will be charged.
