Man Arrested Third Time for Car Burglary

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A man with two prior car burglary convictions is back in jail on the same charge.

Columbus Police say 30-year-old Jim Edward Young Jr. is charged with auto burglary for breaking into a car at a Columbus residence. Investigators say he is a suspect in other cases and ask anyone with information that might tie him to those cases to call Columbus Police.

Young was convicted in 2008 for similar charges and given a two-year sentence. He was released but his probation was revoked when he pleaded guilty to another car burglary in 2010.

He was ordered to serve seven years but is already out on parole. He is being held on $20,000 bond.
