Marshall County Crash Kills 2
HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) – The Mississippi Highway Patrol says two people died Thanksgiving Day when their car collided with an 18-wheeler on U.S. Highway 72 in Marshall County.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt.
State troopers say the accident occurred about 6:30 p.m. Thursday as the car was heading west on U.S. 78 and the truck was pulling onto the highway.
The victims were identified as 36-year old Tyrone Spencer of Memphis, Tennessee and his passenger, 23-year old Chenis Jeffries of Red Banks, Mississippi.
The crash is under investigation.
