COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Nearly 1,000 second and third grade students descend upon Pohl Gymnasium on the MUW campus Tuesday.
It’s all part of the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Sciences Annual Science Carnival. The idea is to get youngsters interested in science. Students from more than a dozen public and private Golden Triangle area schools will spend the day engaging with MSMS students in several different scientific demonstrations. The demonstrations will introduce the elementary students to aspects of physics, chemistry and biology in fun and accessible ways.
