OKTIBBEHA, CO., Miss. – (WCBI) Health, fitness and nutrition are top priorities for residents in Maben, and now their efforts are being recognized.
Monday night, the Controllers Generation II with the 4H club was awarded the Mississippi Governor’s Banner Club Award.
Members have been hosting a series of events focusing on health and wellness. “Fitness Fun” events featured numerous physical activities and games at Shivers Park and Oktibbeha County High School. Nutritious snacks and incentives were handed out on a monthly basis to the participants who lost the most weight during these sessions.
The award ceremony was held at West Oktibbeha County High School.
