COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Six Columbus men are in trouble with the law after a drug bust. Agents with the Columbus-Lowndes Metro Narcotics Unit seized one pound of marijuana, cocaine, digital scales and other paraphernalia from a home on Hill Drive in Lowndes County around 5-30 Wednesday (9-19). 33-year-old Cedric Calmes, 24-year-old Marcus Dawson, 18-year-old Marquis Dawson, 34-year-old Daniel Shelton, 23-year-old Tavarris Shelton, 34-year-old Eric McPherson and 34-year-old Torrey Harris were all charged with possession of marijuana. Additional charges are pending. The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the Special Response Team assisted in the arrests.
