Video: Smithville Gets New Sign

SMITHVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – After more than a month in the works the Town of Smithville finally have a sign of its own.

Thanks to Keep Mississippi Beautiful and the Mississippi Department of Transportation two Smithville signs were paid for in full.The first of those signs have been completed and is located at the entry way into town on HWY 25.

With some bushes donated by Village Green in Amory the next step is to have the sign landscaped. The ” Event Committee” is planning a town planting event where residents and volunteers can help plant bulbs all over town.
