Toyota Gives to Community Groups
BLUE SPRINGS, Miss.– Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi, Inc. (TMMMS) announced today that it will make a combined contribution of $35,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of North Mississippi and Faith Haven, Inc.
The donation comes as part of the company’s Team Member volunteer day that is supporting the United Way of Northeast Mississippi’s ‘Day of Caring.’ The Boys & Girls Club of New Albany received $15,000 to fund its current enhancement project, and the Boys & Girls Club Northside Clubhouse and Faith Haven each received $10,000.
“On behalf of our 2,000 team members at Toyota Mississippi, we are proud to be able to give back to the community and support programs and projects in local communities,” said Doug Formby, vice president of administration at Toyota Mississippi.
Toyota Mississippi has given over $459,000 in monetary support to 43 local organizations over the past 12 months and donated 29 trial vehicles valued at over $403,000 to local community colleges and emergency management agencies.

Grants to local organizations are given in the form of sponsorships and program contributions as part of the Toyota Mississippi Donation Program. Each grant is thoroughly reviewed by Toyota Mississippi’s external affairs department and a committee comprised of dedicated Toyota Team Members to ensure fair consideration is given to each request.
Applications for donations from Toyota Mississippi are generally reviewed four times per year. Each applicant must complete and submit an online application. TMMMS makes grants to organizations that ensure the success and advancement of students of all ages, promote environmental sustainability and road safety, strengthen and advance physical and mental health and quality of life, encourage diversity and inclusion, preserve arts and culture, and provide leadership programs for developing human capital.
TMMMS is Toyota’s fourteenth North American plant, further advancing the company’s efforts to design, develop and build vehicles where they are sold. The plant is an $800 million investment and has the annual capacity to produce 150,000 Corollas.
