TUPELO, Miss. – (WCBI) A Tupelo C.P.A is the newest member of the school board. The Tupelo City Council accepted Joe Babb’s nomination at Tuesday night’s council meeting.
“I think Tupelo has led the way in public education in North Mississippi and has led the state, that’s kind of our legacy as a region and that’s something I want to continue and want to be a part of and I’m excited about helping in any way I can,” says Babb.
Babb graduated from Ripley High School and then graduated from Mississippi State University in 2004.
Babb and his wife Lauren have two daughters, Cate and Ava.
He is replacing Amy Heyer, who is retiring.
