Two Arrests, One to Go in Starkville Counterfeit Check Scam

STARKVILLE, Miss. – (PRESS RELEASE) On June 30, 2014 the Starkville Police Department sent an alert to the public to be on the lookout for possible Counterfeit Checks written on Performance Contractors Inc. Felony warrants were issued for Gabriel Petty, Robert Earl Robertson and Tommy Lamar Davis. Two of the three suspects have been arrested.

Gabriel Petty residing at 401 Murdock Lane in Starkville, MS and Robert Earl Robertson residing at 1810 Hwy 12 West in Starkville, MS were arrested on July 1, 2014 on three felony warrants for False Pretense. Robertson’s bond was set at $25,000 and he will appear before Municipal Court Judge Rodney Faver on August 4, 2014.

Petty’s bond was set at $55,000 and his court date is July 28, 2014. Gabriel Petty and Robert Earl Robertson were processed and then transported to the Oktibbeha County Jail.

Tommy Lamar Davis Starkville Police are continuing their search for the third suspect, Tommy Lamar Davis, who is currently living in Starkville but his address is unknown at this time. He has been seen driving a green, 4 door, 1998 Buick Park Avenue with 20 inch rims. Davis also goes by the names of “Cory” or “Black”.
