Video: Dutschke Trial Delayed

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)-The man accused of sending poison laced letters to the nation’s capital won’t go before a judge until October. James Everett Dutschke is set to stand trial October 7th for allegedly sending ricin tainted letters to President Obama, Senator Roger Wicker and Lee County Justice Court Judge Sadie Holland back in April. The trial was delayed again after his lawyer, federal public defender Greg Park, withdrew because of an ethical conflict with another client. Kenneth Coghlan of Oxford is the new court-appointed attorney for Dutschke. Federal agents initially arrested another suspect before turning the focus of the investigation to Dutschke and arresting him April 27th. Dutschke has denied any involvement in sending the letters.
