Video: MS. House Speaker Listens in Starkville

STARKVILLE, Miss. – (WCBI)Mississippi House Speaker Phillip Gunn is on a ten city tour, and Tuesday night he stopped by Starkville.

Education, gun laws, and the new daycare finger print system were topics discussed at the town hall style meeting that was held on Mississippi State’s campus.

He listened to concerns surrounding the Common Core curriculum, funding for city projects, and voter identification laws.

Gunn says he is holding the meetings to gather information before the 2014 legislative session begins in January.

He also visited Oxford and Corinth, and his next stop is Vicksburg.
