WEST POINT, Miss. – (WCBI) West Point residents rose to their feet for prayers on this the National Day of Prayer. With law enforcement and other first responders taking the lead, a group assembled at Third Mount Olive Baptist Church on Mosley Avenue.
They marched while singing and praying as they went. They stopped and prayed at city hall and then headed for Sally Kate Winters Park.
Once there they gathered and prayed again for everyone from the president to local candidates seeking public office.
