WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) — Students at Oak Hill Academy are walking their way to wireless service on campus.

Elementary and junior high students participated in their second Walk for Technology this morning.

The students pledged to walk for a specified time period, and collect sponsorship dollars to help purchase a wireless system for iPads.

The price tag for the big purchase is $25,000.

Tuesday, students walked around the football field for their pledges.

Last year’s event raised close to $15,000, and organizers are hoping to do the same.
