LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — U.S. Senator Thad Cochran is once again in Louisville one month after the EF-4 tornado damaged the Winston County town.
The Mississippi senator and his team visited the temporary facilities of the Winston Medical Center this Tuesday afternoon. Impressed with what has been done on an emergency basis with healthcare, Cochran mentioned the need for continual long term health care for Mississippians.
“We need to monitor our healthcare system to be sure that everybody has access to it. I think that’s the biggest challenge,” Cochran said.
With the election a week from today, State Senator Chris McDaniel is vying for Cochran’s U.S. Senate seat in what has been so far an ugly battle.
