U.S. postal carriers did more than just bring the mail today.
They picked up donated food which will eventually be given to local food pantries. Tupelo is one of many post offices in Mississippi and across the nation taking part in “Stamp out hunger”. This one-day food drive is the largest single day food drive across America. The Tupelo Post Office is grateful that so many people left food in their mail boxes to help combat hunger at home. Nearly 1-point-2 billion pounds have been collected since the food drive began in 1993.
