Video: Tupelo Rotary Club Donates Dictionaries to Shannon Elementary Third Graders

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Third graders at a Lee County Elementary School received a gift they can use for years from the local Rotary Club.

Members of the Tupelo Rotary Club handed out student dictionaries to third grade classes at Shannon Elementary School.

The effort was part of an annual project for the Rotary Club, and serves as a way the local club promotes education and literacy throughout the area.

Local Rotarians hands out dictionaries to all third graders in Tupelo and Lee County, which amounted to about 2,500 dictionaries the club furnishes each year.

It’s just one of many projects the Tupelo Rotary Club does to help public school students in northeast Mississippi.
