Video: West Point Mayor Talks Handa Cup with Columbus Rotary

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — West Point Mayor Robbie Robinson paid a visit to Columbus today.

Robinson was the featured speaker at the Columbus Rotary Club meeting. The organization has been inviting officials from neighboring cities to foster regional cooperation, and speak about economic development in their area.

Robinson took time out to talk golf and one of the city’s biggest draws.

“I think what you will see this week when we have the Handa Cup is what Old Waverly means to West Point,” Robinson said. “It’s going to bring people in from out of town, and get to see our fair city. We are really fortunate to have a caliber golf course an development as Old Waverly in West Point.”

Robinson is serving his first term as West Point’s mayor.
