West Point Woman Charged with Witness Tampering

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A West Point woman is charged with witness tampering.

Lowndes County detectives say 49-year-old Dottie Taggart was arrested after repeatedly trying to get the victim in a domestic violence case to drop charges against the suspect.

Taggart is related to the suspect.

The woman finally contacted investigators about the case.

Taggart is free on a $5,000 bond.
