Aberdeen Fire Still Under Investigation

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) — Aberdeen firefighters are still investigating a blaze that damaged several apartments Tuesday morning.

Chief Frank Gladney tells WCBI the fire started in the kitchen at a Colonial Place apartment.

Firefighters got the blaze under control in about 10 minutes, but several apartments still had smoke damage – one even had water damage.

Gladney couldn’t confirm if anyone was hospitalized, but did say another resident sprained his leg, jumping from a second-floor window to escape the smoke.
