15th annual Travis Outlaw Day

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- Hundreds turned out Saturday for the annual Travis Outlaw Day.

Former NBA Star Travis Outlaw hosted the 15th annual Travis Outlaw Day.

The event took place at McKee Park where residents got to participate in festivities like; 3 on 3 basketball, BBQ cookoff, and flag football.

Outlaw says the event is a great way to give back to the community and inspire kids.

“You know I’ve been doing this for a while now and It’s just really for me it’s just seeing the enjoyment of kids and also just you know I want kids to be ambitious and go out, hey I want to do things in life and then once they do it and accomplish, bring back and share the knowledge with your community. Hopefully, it’s some more kids you know just keep opening doors,” said Outlaw.

Outlaw also says he has more in store for the community.
